Ioannis Kapsouras was born in Larissa and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, his Master’s degree in Digital Media, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science, all from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specifically from the university’s Department of Computer Science. He is currently a mobile app developer at OneDealer and participates in a research project coordinated by the University of Thessaly. He is also responsible for the course: Big Data in Agriculture in the master’s program, Precision Agriculture, offered by the Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology at the University of Thessaly. He has also participated in two research projects funded by European funds. Ioannis Kapsouras has authored 4 articles in scientific journals and 7 conference papers. His current research interests include the processing of agricultural images and videos for the purpose of plant and fruit identification, fruit ripeness assessment, etc. and his current programming interests include the development of full-stack applications (iOS-Swift, Android-Kotlin, and .NET-C#).
