Dr. Ioannis Raptis holds a Ph.D. in new agricultural machinery technologies and in training farmers in their use from the University of the Aegean; he also holds a Master’s degree (MSc) in Environmental Education from the University of the Aegean. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies from PATES-SELETE in Volos. He has many years of professional experience in companies that import and sell agricultural machinery. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology at the University of Thessaly. His main area of research is agricultural machinery and new technologies, as well as the development of farming systems aimed at conserving natural resources through agricultural activity. He has taught in undergraduate programs at the Technological Educational Institute of Larissa and the University of Thessaly, in courses related to agricultural tractors and agricultural machinery. He has supervised and advised on theses related to agricultural machinery. He has published papers in international and Greek scientific journals and at conferences.
